TOCH organization trains 50 chiefs on Marial Baai agreement

TOCH organization for South Sudan on Wednesday started training chiefs from different areas near Wau town on Marial Baai agreement.
 
Project Coordinator Peter Tong says the workshop targeted 50 chiefs as they have a big role to unite farmers and cattle keepers, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
 
He encourages chiefs to work for the implementation of laws in their places for South Sudan to get peace and stability.
 
Minister of Local Government Michael Madut Chan demands full accountability between the two parties in case of failure to implement the agreement.
 
He advises farmers and cattle keepers resolve problem in a peaceful way or follow the law.
 
Meanwhile CEPO coordinator of greater Bahr el Ghazal Stephen Robo Musa appeals to the famers and cattle keepers to implement Marial Baai agreement.
 
He points out that that there must seriousness in the movement of cattle in the agricultural places to avoid conflict between them.
 
Robo calls for respect to the agreement to foster peaceful co-existence between farmers and cattle keepers.
 
The activist reminds that Marial Baai deal will make the two parties accountable.
