Youth in South Sudan should do manual work during the dry season in order to earn money, say Don Bosco Radio listeners in Tonj.
They say the money gained should be used to pay school fees instead of depending on parents, Don Bosco Radio reports.
Ater Mabior Ater states that young people should lay bricks at the river bank and also run business to ease their lives.
He adds that if both parents and children work in the market, their living standard will improve.
Emmanuel Mabeny Mayiel mentions many things that could be done manually to get money such as building of houses among others.
He adds that some youth do not want to do these jobs, but others try their best to earn a living.
Mabeny says work does not humiliate a person except stealing.
Akit Shenan, says parents should advises their children on how to work manually during dry seasons to pay their school fees by themselves.
Mabior Kuoi says South Sudan faced many challenges because citizens do not like to work with their hands.
Teresa Achol acknowledges that only work can allow young people to meet all their needs and community needs.
She urges youth to have the desire of working all the time for their betterment in the future.
