Diocese of Rumbek begins the 9th Diocesan youth congress on Thursday 13 December 2018.
Speaking to the youths while opening the occasion, diocesan coordinator, Fr John Mathiang welcomes the parishes.
He urges them to make good use of their time while in the congress.
The youth congress is an annual event that is done yearly by the diocese of Rumbek for the young people to share their experiences together.
It was started by His Lordship late Bishop Caesar Mazzolari in 2008.
Only 13 parishes out of 16 attended the occasion.
Three parishes of greater Yirol did not participate because of insecurity.
The occasion will conclude on Sunday with the Eucharistic celebration when youths return to their respective parishes.
