Director calls on drivers to process licenses and number plates

The Director of Traffic Police on Thursday calls on Boda-boda riders to possess licenses and number plates for easy identification in case of accidents.
 
Joseph Liti Jabu stresses that he detained some of non-licensed motorbikes on Tuesday in the state to ensure that all motorbikes have number place and licensed Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
He pledges that they will not give up until all riders process both licenses and number plates.
 
The director explains that the caught 60 motorbikes without licenses on Tuesday and that the initiative will help them to find stolen motorbikes.
 
He further adds that careless driving in the state increased accidents, but culprits are not found because their vehicles are not numbered.
 
The director says the idea is to ensure civilians’ safety on roads and in the markets.
 
The director points out that some people are giving their vehicles to children below eighteen years which out of the law according to the constitution of south Sudan.
 
He adds that if under age person makes an accident the may to death the owner of the vehicle will compensate the victim. 
 
The leader appeals to the officials, civilians and business persons especially motorbike owners to stop giving their vehicles to children.
