The listeners of Radio Don Bosco on Monday urge famers to practice irrigating crops during the dry season.
Madut Gabriel, one of the callers’ points out that irrigation along the river side has a lot of benefit and in turn will generate income for farmers.
Peter John explains that a farmer practicing irrigation has more income than other people other field.
He adds that irrigation provides green fruits and vegetables during the dry season which is good for balance diet.
Another caller Kom Yien says some people do not plant at the river because insects destroy crops at river bank.
He adds that lack of machines for watering plants discourages farmers from irrigation activities.
Chol Migration mentions that some youth neglect these activities because of ignorant and pride.
He urges young people to involve in irrigation of crops for the better future in the society.
