Torit State First Director-General of Education said his ministry has not received any information on 40 dollar teachers’ incentive meant to be paid for three months.

Last week the national Ministry Of General Education announced that it will pay November, December and January incentives for qualified schools starting this week

Radio Emmanuel quoted Gabriel Oliha citing lack of coordination between state education ministry and donor team.

Oliha says though the ratio of 50 students per a teacher was agreed, some schools in Torit did not receive the recent paid incentives.

He however says his ministry is still following the matter.

Oliha encourages teachers to continue teaching amidst the monthly incentive delay.

Over 100 Million SSP has been availed to pay over 30,000 primary and secondary school teachers across the country.

The First director made the remarks on Thursday at his office
