The Parish Priest of St Francis of Assisi Gamunakpe in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio is calling on the parents to pay school fees of their children because they are the future leaders of South Sudan.
Fr Abraham Aboyo says it is very important to take care of kids in learning because education is part and parcel of life, Anisa Radio reports.
He mentions that without education South Sudan cannot develop as there will be no capacities and skills in different fields of work.
The priest reveals that some parents or relative dot support children to go to school because they think they will not benefit from the fruits of kids’ education.
He outlines that parents should stop too much drinking of alcohol which lead to waste of money rather than paying school fees.
Fr Aboyo advises youth to value education and respect their parents if they want to become responsible people in future.
The priest made talked to Anisa Radio Saturday in Tombura.
