The remains of the Jesuit Catholic priest Victor Luke Odhiambo killed by criminals last Thursday have finally been laid to rest in Cuei-bet parish of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Monday.
On Monday the faithful accompanied the body of late Fr Luke for burial in Gok State where he was murdered.
Upon arrival in Cuie-bet a requiem mass was offered by his fellow priests and Sisters.
According to Good News Radio, the late was killed while administering Bishop Mazzolari Teachers College as a Principal for three years.
Provincial Superior of Jesuit Community in Eastern Africa, Fr Joseph Afulo, says it is time to thank the Lord for the life of Fr Victor and different people who might have gone the same way.
He prays that the Lord converts the criminals who killed the priest and shows them a good Christian way of life.
Different religious groups, government officials and the laity attended the funeral rite prayer in Cuei-bet parish.
