A catholic priest, from the Jesuit Congregation working in the Diocese of Rumbek was killed on Thursday night in his compound by unknown gunmen.
Gok State Information Minister John Madol Panther explains that, armed men stormed into the bed room of the priest and shot him twice shortly after midnight,
He says the priest was rushed to the local hospital where passed away.
Speaking to Good news radio on telephone, Monsignor John Mathiang Machol condemns the incident.
He calls upon the government of Gok State to investigate the circumstances that led to the killing of Fr. Luke Odhiambo.

Late Rev. Victor Luke Odhiambo was assigned in Gok State as a principle of Chuei -bet Teacher’s training college in 2015 by the diocese. He was in 62 years old.
