The Catholic Mother of Mercy Hospital in Gidel, Nuba Mountains on Saturday commemorated its tenth anniversary.
Voice of Hope Radio, says the celebration began at eight o’clock in the morning with procession from the Hospital to Gidel parish where thanksgiving mass was held.
Speaking to the gathering, main celebrant, Fr James William Silgat says Mother of Mercy Hospital was a great gift to the people of Nuba in the liberated areas.
He calls on the faithful to pray to God to bless all workers and those who give assistance to the hospital abundantly.
The priest cites lack of health care facilities and inadequate educational centers in the Nuba Mountains which are needed to be in place.
He calls on Christians to pray to God to help them in the midst of their sufferings.
The tenth anniversary of Mother of Mercy Hospital was marked with traditional, musical choir dances and other entertainments.
