Abyei Cok community elects new chief

The community of Abyei-Cok Boma in Tonj state on Tuesday elected new executive chief to deliver services to them.
 
Speaking during the election, County commissioner Safferino Philip Bazia appreciates the initiative taken by the community. Don Bosco Radio Reports.
 
Safferino Philip stresses that the decision made by the Cok community should be an example to the rest in the state.
 
He also advises the newly appointed Chief to work hard for peaceful coexistence among the people of Abyei.
 
He urges the people to avoid conflicts and always work for sustainable development in the area.
 
Director General in local government Augustino Akoc Agoth, appeals to the community to cooperate together with their new leader and work for the needs of all.
 
The new elected chief Akot Kur Akot promises to deliver necessary services to the people.
 
He reveals that peace and unity are his first priorities.
