UN high level team conducts assessment on needs in Torit

The United Nation high level team headed by the US ambassador to South Sudan have conducted an assessment on the needs of the population through the Recovery and Resilience project in Torit.
 
U.S Ambassador Thomas Hushek while addressing journalist shortly after a meeting says it is time to change from emergency health aspects to development.
 
He hopes the signed revitalized peace deal will give room to develop the local population through improvement of physical infrastructures.
 
Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General or DSRSG Alain Noudehou acknowledges the challenges the country is facing due to conflict.
 
He says building resilience and recovery will enable the community regain their dignity.
 
Alain says it is important for development partners to work together to address the needs of the local population.
 
Torit Governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo says the people in the state have been waiting for the resilience project for long.
 
He says his government will support any development agency ready to team up in providing services to the population.
