The Bishop of the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Church is in Yambio to lead the first diocesan missionary synod in South Sudan.
Bishop Robert Gosseline says during the synod he will pass some important announcements about the church in South Sudan and appoint new Bishop to head the CEEC mission, Anisa Radio reports.
Other tusks he will perform in including ordination of some pastors and confirmation of candidates.
the speaker of Gbudue State Transitional Legislative Assembly, some pastors and hundreds of Christians in Yambio on Tuesday warmly received the visiting bishop.
The first CEEC synod is expected to start this week which will be head by Bishop Robert Gosseline from Jerusalem and representatives from Juba, Yei, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
