Don Bosco Secondary School in Tonj State on Friday celebrated teachers’ day under the theme: ‘Teachers are the light’.
Speaking to Don Bosco Radio, Deputy Principal, Joram Sokwa says the aim is to encourage teachers on their hard work and commitment shown to the school.
He says the event is celebrated yearly to motivate teachers and students.
Mario Noon, one of the invited teachers, appreciates the administration of Don Bosco Secondary for organizing the day to recognize the importance of teachers in the community.
He advises the students to respect their educators.
Maria Agok Mapal, one of the parents, appeals to teachers to bear the situation and give quality education to learners.
She calls for the promotion of equality between girls and Boys in the society.
The officials made the remark during the celebration over the weakened in Tonj.
