Staff of Catholic Organization for Peace and Development of Tombura-Yambio Diocese are appealing to the general public to protect their environment by cleaning.

One of the workers, Joyce Nadaa, told Anisa Radio that coming out to fill up potholes along the main road does not require any authorization from the government.

She expresses her gratitude for doing community work because it is for the betterment and maintenance of road and the environment.

Nadaa appeals to the general public to clear all bushes and the road leading to their different locations.

It was really a good initiative that the Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio came out together with his staff to fill up potholes along the main road of St Mary Church, says Alfred Babisi.

He cites that there is need to work with human hands because they always use roads to go to different locations

Edward Anikpara discloses that it is the responsibility and duty of citizens to maintain their roads and environment because nobody will come from outside to do that.

‘We shall continue to face difficulties on our roads if we don’t maintain them while we need to show love from our hearts towards our nation and the community’, he adds.

The speakers talked on Thursday when Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro came out together with his staff to fill some potholes along St Mary Church main road.
