UNESCO appeals to the government to allow journalists to access information

United Nation Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO appeals to the state government to recognize journalists to have access to information.
 
Esoke Aric Alfred Riruyo, says when Journalists are following up on events of great interest to the public, the government should allow them to get the information. Radio Anisa reports.
 
Alfred mentions that journalists have the right to balance their stories according to journalistic ethics and code of conduct of South Sudan.
 
He appeals to journalists to be accurate in their reporting to promote unity of the country.
 
A participant Stephen Kubako appreciates UNESCO for the great job of building the capacity of journalists in the state.
 
The speakers made the comments during the two-day journalist training Organized by UNESCO in partnership with UNMISS Human Rights Office.
