The commissioner of Tonj County cautions pastoralists against driving their animals to graze in Luo land before harvesting their crops.

Severino Philip Bazia says he met with communities in Payams and Bomas about the issue in order to maintain peace between pastoralists and farmers, Don Bosco Radio reports.

The commissioner advises all communities in his county to remain peaceful for the government to deliver needed services.

He appeals to cattle keepers to coexist with the farmers in the area.

The commissioner made the comments on Tuesday in Tonj.
