The Justice and Peace Commission in the Catholic Diocese of Torit on Thursday started out a four-day peace building workshop in Holy Family Palotaka Parish.
Assistant Parish Priest Joseph Mawa during the opening urges citizens to reduce peace to their level, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He says it is the intention of the church to ensure her children live in peace.
Fr Mawa confirms peace has returned to Palotaka Parish after 2016 conflict that left a number of people dead, majority displaced with some few remaining in fear.
He says the training targets 30 participants from different locations in the parish.
The Assistant Parish Priest expects the participants to be agents of change in the society.
