Civilians urge government to improve security in remotes areas

Residents of Ikpiro residential area are urging the government of Gbudue State to improve security in some remote areas especially for the safety of citizens.
 
According to Anisa Radio, the call came after gunmen shot dead one civilian in his house on Tuesday night around 9:00 PM in Ikpiro residential area of Yambio County.
 
Victoria Michael, one of the residents, complain that the government always request them to go back to their houses saying peace is has come, but they have not seen any sign of peace in their area.
 
She mentions that she and her colleagues fill like to leave the area for their safety, but there is no where they get food for their children.
 
Bibiko Sungu, another resident, says after they came back to their houses they spend only two months then they start experiencing what forced out of the homes..
 
‘The death of our colleagues has created fear in us and I don’t think those who are still outside will return to their houses’, he regrets.
 
For his part Alminio Mumbasa, Chief of Yambio County Municipality says the government is in control of Ikpiro residential area and they are searching for the criminals and will bring them to book.
 
He appeals to citizens to be wise to whom they stay with to make it quick for them to identify criminals.
 
The civilians were reacting to the death of their community member on Tuesday.
