A civic leader strongly urged the SPLM to concentrate on educating citizens on voting and polling procures and stop politicking.
Resident Program Officer for the International Republican Institute John Tomaszewski said voting was difficult and the SPLM needed to work hard to sensitize the public on how to fold ballot papers.Mr. Tomaszewskin noted that the referendum vote is secret and no one will be told what to do to fold the ballot during voting.
He repeatedly said international standards require that political parties express neutrality.
Mr. Tomaszewskin urged the SPLM to start making quizzes to test what the public knows about the voting procedures including folding of the ballot papers.
Mr. Tomaszewskin made this remarks yesterday in Juba at the end of a training on voting and polling procedures organized by the SPLM.
