An Indian company is set to start up a one thousand-hectare agriculture and energy project along Juba-Lainya road.
Shanshak Sabnis told SCR News that the project will grow mainly sorghum to make flour and use the remains to produce green coal.Mr Sabnis mentioned that the green coal would minimize deforestation in the region while grain production would address the issue of food security.
Mr. Sbanis said the project will use bio-mass to produce green coal bricks using the material cleared while preparing the land for the project.
Mr. Sabnis said the project will create smokeless charcoal stoves that use less coal for the same price of conventional appliances and fuel.
