The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in Tonj expresses worries on poor yield of crops in the state due less amount of rainfall this year.
William Deng Nhial told Don Bosco Radio on Wednesday that the absence of rain affects farmers’ activities in the state.
He predicts that many parts of Bahr el Gazal region will suffer from hunger next year.
Deng advises farmers to the keep the little product as seeds for the coming year and not to lose hope, but keep on their work.
He points out that many farmers depend on long term crops that are harvested in December and January.
The official made the remarks on Wednesday in Tonj.
