UNHCR establishes community-based protection networks

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees or UNHCR reveals establishment of community-based protection networks in Internal Displace Persons or IDP sites to coordinate child guard cases.
 
Radio Easter quoted Child Protection Cluster Coordinator Siskun Watanasab saying they do refugee monitoring with partners and the network can help partners in the community.
 
Siskun states that they are reviewing gender-based violence referral trail and ensuring that there is a standard and operational proceeding in communities.
 
She adds that they are focusing on neglected children.
 
Watanasab stresses the objective of protection cluster is to provide services with centrality of protection through mainstreaming.
 
The coordinator spoke to Radio Easter in a humanitarian harmonization meeting in Yei.
