The South Sudan National Minister of Health says major towns bordering the Democratic Republic of Conga are at high risk of Ebola.
Radio Anisa reports that Riek Gai Kok at Yambio Freedom Square says citizens of South Sudan need help before the disease gets to the country.
The government is working closely with partners like the World Health Organization to make sure that emergency operation centres set at some entry points are well operational, he notes.
Meanwhile, Governor of Gbudue State Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa appeals to all citizens to fight against Ebola.
He urges people of the state to avoid eating bush meat because Ebola is a deadly disease and can affect wild animals.
The governor says his government will collaborate with all partners to ensure that Ebola does not enter the country through Gbudue State.
South Sudan National minister of Health together with experts from the WHO and other partners are now touring major towns bordering DR Congo to create more awareness on Ebola.
