A South Sudanese Artist is encouraging upcoming colleagues to reflect on their culture while performing their music.
Thomas Uchu John Madut speaking to Radio Voice of Hope says, his father a doctor loves music and had influenced him to take up the profession.
Uchu explains that it is not bad to adopt a foreign music and mix it with cultural music using traditional tools to address social problems.
He encourages the youths and colleagues to be ambassadors of peace through music and dancing.
‘My role is always to support youth in cultural and organizing programs’, he added.
Thomas Uchu is one of the South Sudanese Musicians also known as music Nargus (We Dance) and Wau Nar (Wau Fire).
He was sharing his experiences with Voice of Hope Radio on Wednesday in Wau.
