Western Equatoria is hosting eight thousands six hundred and seventy-five refugees now living in Western Equatoria State since the outbreak of violence in South Sudan, says Commissioner for Refugees’ Affairs.

Anisa Radio quoted Paulino Zizi Bugua Gbudue saying Western Equatoria has refugees from five countries including DRC Congo, Central Africa, Sudan and Eritrea.

He reveals that those refugees were settled in Makpandu and Napere camps and the rest are leaving with host communities in Maridi and Tombura States.

The Commissioner explains that they are working hard with partners to assist them with health services, and allocate land in Makpandu for them to cultivate.

Zizi appeals to South Sudanese to pray hard for the warring parties to agree and sign final peace agreement in Khartoum, Sudan in the next round of talks.

The Commissioner for Refugees Affairs was talking to Anisa Radio on Thursday in Yambio.
