The presidential advisor on Islamic affairs has urged the council to be strong and work towards delivering basic services to the community.
Sheik Juma Said says promoting education and other essential service will ensure a system that enables affairs of the council to run effectively.
Said cites that Morobo county of Yei river state is the leading county in number of Muslims followers.
He hopes to see the State Islamic council formed earlier in the county.
The presidential advisor spoke to radio Easter in Yei.
