The Head teacher of Torit Day Secondary School has pointed out the importance of continuous revision by students in schools to pass exams.

Valery Afara Ohiri says students should not be under pressure due to the forth coming end of the second term exams scheduled for next Monday, Radio Emmanuel reports.

‘Whatever is given to you, don’t keep it that I will come and read when examination is approaching. The learners any moment they are given resources from the class, they should start reading such that when it comes to the time of revision it will get them ready. Because students with pressure, these are students who maybe absent themselves then when it comes to the time of examinations they find out that they have bulky notes to read. But a student who always keeps on reading from time to time has no problem’ the head teachers advises.

The Head teacher says un-programmed activities that require attendance of students, and bad weather conditions in the due course of the term affected them.

Kejilek Viola, the Head girl of the school, says in spite of some few hindrance, her students are fully prepared.

‘In our school we are actually 100 percent ready for the exams, although second term was having a lot of interruption. We have games and sports; even debating competition was in our school. But although these activities were there, we are prepared for the exams. To my fellow students don’t fear exams because exam is something normal. As a student, you are like a soldier. You are ready all the time. We don’t expect any examination fever, we expect high score in second term exams’ she assures.

On the other hand, Simon Borwai Augustine, a head boy says students have been studying hard for the exams.

‘Actually we are very prepared for the examination because right from beginning of first term we are all prepared. Our teachers are covering the notes of second term, they are all finish and we are studying hard, so that we need to pass the second term examination. Students, be prepared, don’t be un-harvested seed or not weeded. You have to weed yourself before you will be harvested to bring good yield’, he appeals.

The head teacher and his students made their remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Friday at Torit Day Secondary School.
