Nurse observes malaria most common disease in Torit town

A nurse working at Amani Clinic in Torit says malaria is the most common disease affecting the population in the town.
 
Dennis Chadri attributes the rise to spread as a result of busy environment in town and the reluctance of people to use mosquito nets, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He claims that 95 percent patients reporting to the clinic are tested positive with malaria disease.
 
‘The cause of malaria is people don’t sleep under mosquito nets, poor environment and containers that gathers water call stagnant water that lead to the multiplication of this mosquito’s to spread malaria’, the nurse explains.
 
Chadri says the disease is categorized into complicated and none complicated malaria.
 
He explains that complicated malaria is treated through use of injection while none complicated is through tablets.
 
The nurse urges the population to maintain their environment clean to reduce the spread of the disease
 
‘You need to make them sleep under mosquito nets, close windows specially rural areas when the sun is setting down to avoid movement of insect because they move in the night hours and collect broken pots burn, slash around compound to prevent insect from breading more, he advises.
 
Malaria disease is caused by female anoples mosquito which transmit the disease through blood sacking from a patient to none infected person.
