The absence of rain for more than half a month in July has greatly affected the farmers’ works in Tonj State.
Joseph Edward Bugbai, one of the farmers, says long term crops are serious affected by the lack of rain, Don Bosco Radio reports.
He points out that absence of rain will change the expectation on food production by the end of the year.
The farmer appeals to the Ministry of Agriculture to support farmers by providing pesticides to control worms that spoil crops in gardens.
Edward encourages farmers not to give up producing, but to double their efforts in order to produce enough food.
The speaker made the remarks in an interview to Don Bosco Radio in Tonj.
