Ministry of Education of Torit state has called on teachers to educate students on peaceful coexistence in schools.
First Director General Oliha Gabriel told teachers in the State to introduce activities that can improve equal participation among students.
Gabriel warns teachers to avoid building hatred in schools and to be a role model to the student by acting as the foundation of peace in the country.
Gabriel further encourages teachers to extent their knowledge on peace into communities and their fellow teachers.
He says teachers are the backbones of the country and can play a major role towards peace building in the state.
He spoke during training on conflict management and peace club strategy development in Torit.
