The Director of Police Investigation in Tonj State on Monday confirmed to Don Bosco Radio that a thirteen-year-old boy shot dead his eight-year-old brother.
Gabriel Njur Domaya says the incident happened on Sunday morning in Mayom Abun residential area.
The children found the gun inside the room and started playing with it before the young one got shot and died on spot, he elaborates.
Njur blames the father of the children for leaving the gun in the room which led to the killing.
He says the father should be held responsible negligence resulting to the death of the child.
The father of the two boys was not available for comment.
