Youth President in Torit State is advising media houses to follow their ethics when informing the public about the current events.

According to Radio Emmanuel, James Otililing Oliang calls on journalists to report news professionally so that it does not cause public disorder.

‘Share information for the interest of South Sudanese or for the welfare of the entire nation. We as citizens have right to access information being in social media or any of the media houses. Not all information is to be shared information. There is some information which is completely confidential. Some information can cause public disorder’. Otililing notes.

He urges journalists to abide by the media law when disseminating information to the public.

‘The media practitioners are to abide by the ethics. A media house should know very well about the nature of information they share. So this brings us the idea of professionalism. Disseminating information is not for granted but you should have to know the type of information you are sharing’.

He also appeals to the media practitioners to analyze information before disseminating to the public.
