About two thousand four hundred and forty farmers are expected to benefit from sustainable Agriculture project in Maridi. This is according to Caritas Belgium Project Officer under Catholic Diocese of Tambura –Yambio.
Innocent Anthony Mangu adds that the farmers were being trained on subsistence farming and were also given some agricultural tools and seeds to scale up food production in the state.
He says forty five famer’s groups from different Payams have been trained on sustainable agriculture, marketing, post harvests, bee keeping and pest management among others.
Anthony believes that the training will benefit the famers in the state.
He observes positive responds from the communities on the project despite challenges.
