Ndraffi Model Primary School in Heiban County in Nuba Mountains region has closed its final term exams with good improvement from learners.
Head teacher Barbere Kusono congratulates parents for supporting their children with school fees despite difficult economic situation in the region.
He appreciates his fellow teachers for working hard to complete the syllabus and that it was the first year since the establishment of Ndraffi Model Primary School.
Head teacher Kusono directs parents to continue supporting the school in building and other activities.
He discourages night dances which he says is the cause of school drop outs.
The official discloses that authorities have been instructed to arreste and imprison any learner found dancing.
The learner imprisoned for dancing at night should only be released with permission from a teacher or head teacher of that particular school, he emphasizes.
The head teacher discourages the use of phones by pupils.
Kusono remarks that the school had more than 700 learners, but some dropped out and only 594 sat for the final exams.
He indicates that 431 pupils passed the exams and 163 failed, blaming parents for not giving their children time to revise.
