The Minister of Trade Industry and East African Community Affairs calls upon citizens who are illegally cutting of trees to stop the practice.
Moses Hassan Tiel cautions in his ministerial order to the media that if people continue cutting trees there will be no rains in the future.
He points out that random felling of trees can also lead to destruction of environment and deforestation.
The minister warns that illegal cutting of trees for charcoal is alarming a lot and if the issue is not addressed all the trees will disappear.
He cautions that the government will arrest people cutting down trees and take them to court.
Minister Hassan discourages exporting charcoals from South Sudan and encourage people to use other ways like heated stones and biomass for cooking their food.
