Wau State Police authorities have confirmed that the security situation has normalized compared to previous days.
Acting Police Commissioner, Major General Philip Madut Tong says there is great improvement on the security situation and that some IDPs have returned to their homes.
He adds that people are sleeping well in their houses. But some citizens are still complaining of criminal activities taking place in their residential areas.
The police commissioner claims that there is no any serious report about crimes taking place in the areas.
Madut says the state has opened police posts in the residential areas to protect civilians.
He calls on everybody to report criminal cases to the police.
Major General Philip Madut Tong urges citizens to cooperate with the police personnel who are patrolling at night in their residential areas to maintain the security.
