South Sudanese students in Bidi Bidi refugee camps in Uganda complain of lack of secondary schools in the sites.
A student from Zone Two in the camp, Claudio Mondia Pai, tells CRN says the whole area has only one secondary school not well equipped and the number of students is high.
The school does not offer any meal to students, making it hard to concentrate with studies with empty stomachs, he complains.
Another student of Zone One, Judith Sophia, says in her secondary school, some students are forced to get their lessons under trees as the number of learners is big.
The student is urging organizations in charge of camps to improve learning environment by constructing more schools and provide study material.
Meanwhile, a teacher in one of the schools in the camp, Shali Shalila advises the students not to mind because they are getting quality education.
She urges the learners to focus more on their studies and become good leaders who will be able to combat poverty and conflict in their country.
With over 270 thousand refugees, Bidi Bidi has five Zones and each Zone has one secondary school.
