The Chairperson of civil society network in Eastern Equatoria region has condemned the abduction of children in the area, describing it as inhuman.
About seven children were abducted by unknown people in Kor Lahabata along Torit Juba road earlier this week, according to Charles Okullu.
He appeals to security personnel to bring the perpetrators to book.
The Chairperson also calls on neighboring states to work together in order to end the practice.
Mr Okullu says cases of abduction are increasing especially in Kudo and Lohiri and some parts of Lopa Lafon area.
He expresses willingness to work hard and advocate for an end to child abduction.
The Chairperson appeals to the state government to consider child abduction as an issue of serious concern.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Torit State Peace Commission German Charles Ojok has revealed that about three children were also abducted in Lolere along Torit Juba road in 2015.
The statements were made in an exclusive interview with Radio Emmanuel after their monthly cluster meeting for peace actors in Torit on Thursday.
