Communities of Warrap and Jur River Counties while reviewing the 2016 Marial Bai Peace conference resolutions agreed to manage conflicts between farmers and pastoralists.

Project Coordinator for Peace Building and Gender Violence Protection, Bernice Kitum says the agreement was during a one-day workshop organized by Hope Agency for Relief Development or HARD in Wau, Voice of Hope Radio reports.

Kitum explains that pastoralists agreed to compensate the crops damaged or consumed by the cattle for peace to prevail.

The coordinator encourages authorities from two sides to respect one another opinion and have Geneon conversation to achieve sustainable peace.

A one-day inter communal workshop is expected to come out with strong resolutions among the two communities.
