St Daniel Comboni Hospital in Wau earlier this week witnessed violence against its medical doctors.

The two men claiming to be soldiers entered the hospital at evening and started to beat the doctors, Voice of Hope Radio reports.

According to the medical director in the hospital, Brother Rosario Jennet, the incident happened after they had a car accident with one of the motorist on his way back home from duty.

The doctor explains that he kept away when the two men started slapping him and other staff.

Dr Jennet says the situation was normal after the diocesan administrator and national security resolved the issue.

He confirms that the hospital is working normally since it was a misunderstanding between two parties and there is no act of violence from outside.

St Daniel Comboni Hospital is one of the Catholic institutions operating in Wau beside Wau Teaching Hospital.
