Musician calls for songs improvement in Nuba Mountains

Musician, popularly known as Kodi Kodi the Marshall, has called for the improvement of music industry in Nuba Mountains region.
 
Mr Kodi Kodi defines music as the culture and tradition of a particular group of people.
 
He says that music is a good instrument for sending information to people and the means of a liberation struggle.
 
However the musician decries the lack of equipment for developing music in the region and the failure from the community to recognize local musical instruments.
 
He suggests that there should be a school for training the community musicians in the area.
 
Kodi Kodi remarks that lack of an association of musicians is also one of the things that is affecting music in the region.
 
He notes that many people are talented but they are unable to unite and form a union of musicians’ to promote their talents.
 
The musician spoke to Voice of Peace Radio in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.
