The Government of Wau State has accused the SPLM in Opposition of attacking its position in the area.
State Minister of Local Government Arkangelo Anyar Anyar claims that SPLA-IO loyal to Dr Riek Machar put the people in panic after violating the cessation of hostilities agreement.
He explains that the armed opposition got the chance when the government was collecting guns from the hand of civilians in Kuarjena County.

Heavy gunshots were heard from south west of Wau which caused panic to the citizens in the state.
