Yambio Civic Engagement Center passes constitution for first time

Yambio Civic Engagement Centre on Thursday passed its first constitution of the Center.
 
Speaking to Radio Anisa during the event, the Deputy Chairperson of the Center, Ripai Justin Kizito, says the purpose of the constitution is to legally register the place.
 
The contract of Democracy International is ending soon this year and they to register it as an independent body sustainability of the center.
 
The leader says, the Center was supported by Democracy International success project which is ending in September.
 
Justin discloses that Yambio Civic Engagement Center has been supporting civil society organizations students, churches and other entities with free internet, capacity building and provision of concept note.
 
He says the sustainability of the center will depend on the subscription fee from member organizations, project proposals and other income generating activities.
 
The chairperson urges the civil society organizations to own the center and abide by its constitutions.
 
Mbage Wilson Ismail, one of the participants appreciates the User committee for coming up with the constitution that will be guiding the center.
 
He then urges the user committee to be committed and abide by the constitution for the benefit of the community and the civil society organizations in Western Equatoria region.
 
He calls on the entire civil society organizations to support the committee for the sustainability of the center.
