Muslims in Nuba Mountains pray for peace

Hundreds of Muslims in Kauda town of Nuba Mountains are praying to God to have mercy and bring peace to the war affected regions.
 
Speaking during ‘Eid al Fitr day, Head of Muslims, Ibrahim Abdalla, says they are praying so that God bring peace to the suffering Sudanese people. Voice of Peace reports.
 
He sends his best wishes to all the Nuba people regardless of different religions and cultural beliefs.
 
Imam Abdalla also prays for rainfall for people to have good harvest at the end of the year to reduce hunger.
 
Another Muslim member, James Osman Ali, thanks God for keeping them safe to celebrate Eid al Fitr.
 
He calls on citizens to love and respect one another so that God can listen to their prayers.
 
In every feast, Muslims and non-Muslims in Nuba Mountains visit each other to celebrate together despite of different religion backgrounds.
