Muslim community in Tonj celebrates Ramadan

The Muslim community with all its denominations and the government officials on Wednesday celebrated Ramadan in Tonj State.

Musa Abdurrahman, head of the Islamic Group in South Sudan, says President Salva Kiir Mayardit donated money to all Muslims for breakfasts in all states, Don Bosco Radio reports.

The leader complains that Muslims in Tonj State do not have any piece of land where they can build Mosque to pray in.

The Minister of Social Welfare vows to support the Muslim community in the state.

Deputy Governor Francis Marial Abur appeals to the Islamic groups in the state to feel free in South Sudan because the country does not ignore religions.

He encourages the Muslims to cooperate with the state and the national governments in serving citizens.

The leaders talks on Wednesday to Don Bosco Radio in Tonj.
