Police authorities of Kumbur Payam in Nuba Mountains reported that they have arrested rape suspect on Sunday evening.
Speaking to Radio Voice of Peace, police officer Sidig Musa Karjamus says they arrested a young man in Kumu Arthan village after allegedly raping an 11-year-old boy who was grazing cattle in the bush.
The officer says the person used force against the young boy.
Musa advises the community members to refrain from such evil acts and stop taking alcohol which is always the cause of crimes.
The police officer says the rape victim was taken to Mother of Mercy Hospital for check up.
He says four cases of rape were reported in their department in the last months.
