Chief blames government for paying little attention to criminal activities

Local chief in Torit state is accusing the state government for failing to control and combat criminals activities in the Town.
 
Livingstone Otim Okeny the executive chief of Fododo Block B reveals issues of killing, smoking Bangi along Kinetie River among others as continuous activities in Torit state.
 
Speaking in Simple Arabic Otim says chiefs are committed to bring law breakers to book but fears intimidation by some key government officials over reporting cases of criminal activities.
 
Otim advises his fellow chiefs to work hard in fighting malpractices in the state.
 
Pamela Simon Peter a resident of Hai Longute fears continues killing will force farmers to abundant cultivation calling for cooperation between security agencies to put an end to these criminal activities.
 
Simon appeals to UN agencies to support security agents with a detecting machine for cases of killing, robbery and other wrong acts in the state.
 
Meanwhile Dominic Edward Anikpara Acting Head of legal administration Torit state says crime control and prevention is the role of every South Sudanese as granted by the criminal procedure act.
 
Edwards urges communities in Torit to report any suspected criminal activities in their areas to the police.
 
Edward however blames local courts for dealing with cases beyond their judicial power
