Tonj state health official confirms that cases of tuberculosis among communities in the area are on rise due to lack of health education.
Speaking to Radio Don Bosco, a laboratory technician at John Lee Memorial Hospital, Michael Yai, says some traditional beliefs are also hindering the process of health education among communities.
He encourages the public to frequently visit health facilities.
Yai says people affected with tuberculosis should also go for HIV test and know their status.
One of the TB patients in Tonj, Nyiriak Mangor, appreciates the health workers at the hospital for saving her life.
