Speaking in simple Arabic Dominica Idwa says there are different forms of violence such as rape and emotional assault among others that every traditional leaders should put into picture, Emmanuel radio reports.
He blames community leaders for failing to report cases of gender base violence happening in their villages to state safe house.
Director-General Idwa believes putting knowledge of gender-based violence into practice will help reduce cases of violations among communities.
She advises local leaders to be agent of positive change in their communities.
Idwa says her ministry is working hard to ensure cases of gender-base violence is minimize in the state.
The director general made the remarks during the opening session of a three days’ workshop that brings together community leaders of Himo-Donge, Nyong and Bur payams of Torit County at Dynamic Business Centre on Tuesday.
